High in British Columbia’s Cascade Mountains,
a storm system from the Pacific… … has just unleashed hell. Heavy trucks and passenger cars on the Coquihalla
Highway…have ground to a hault. We’ve seen nine cars in the ditch so far,
a couple of flipped trucks, two smashed up semis just a little ridiculous out here. At the highest point on the Coqui it’s chaos. As soon as you pass the snowshed and you’re
up there, you feel the dynamic of weather. You feel the snow, the ice and everything
that goes along with the Coquihalla. From his yard in Hope, BC Jamie Davis dispatches
his top driver, Scott Bird. One of them nights, big storm of the winter. Look, if this is any sign of what is to come,
we’re in for it. Tie your shoes tight, going to be a ride.
